Bollywood Divas and their Love for Banarasi Sarees
I have been talking about accessories, I have been talking about the history and involvement of the drapes from ages, so I did a lot of stuff writing about saree and their style statements and how to accessorize them as well. But I thought this time let me bring something eye-candy for all my lovely ladies.
We have grown up looking at the fashion celebrities - mainly the bollywood stars - right. There was no Instagram influencer or fashion blogger who could have shown you the path what to try with what. I remember when the movie Bobby was release those polka dots became famous, from Jab We Met it is the harem pants.
Gosh we cannot deny that the bolly do not influence our life. Amidst all these nepotism talks going around and Bollywood industry torn apart. I was just looking at the trendsetters - whom we feel like a diva and beg to differ at the core of our heart that we should not follow them due to nepotism and blah.
So to refresh your memories - let me take you to a photo journey of the bollywood divas, who impressed me alway when it comes to sarees, particularly the banarasi sarees.
Rekha
The iconic lady- whom we know in the treasure trove of Kanjeevaram sarees, is also elegant in carrying banarasi sarees. Oh that deep orange color banarasi she wore at Isha Ambani's wedding - it was stunner.
Vidya Balan
The rekha counterpart of the new-gen- the Keralite origin lady loves to wear saree and fuse it with a lot of fancy styles and blouses. But I can't move my eyes from the screen when she wore a banarasi saree in her movie, Parineeta.
Madhuri Dixit
For any Marathi style wedding or closed friends ethnic parties, I have watched this lady elegantly draping herself in classic banarasi sarees. And those curves just fall in places when she drapes. However, we have seen her dancing with Kolhapuri sarees on screen.
Deepika
This young lady knows how to carry her pomp well. Here goes my amazing pick when it comes to her. Spotted before marriage attending an event in a red hot color banarasi saree, check out here.
Dia Mirza
This Hyderabadi beauty carries saree so well, that she is an eye-candy to watch. I have seen and spotted her on TV attending many events, parties or fashion hunts in lovely Banarasi sarees, carrying it like apiece of cake with her lovely dimpled smile.
So that's all!
My list comes to an end. There may be more in the bollywood industries who carries of saree quite well like Sridevi, Hema Malini or even Kangana Ranaut - but these are my personal favorites. Will like to know what is your opinion and share your thought on the ladies whose saree draping style you still like to copy.
